Organized by the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights and the International Movement ATD Fourth World, with the support of the Permanent Missions of Belgium, Chile, Finland, France, Namibia and Romania. This event will bring together leading experts to discuss the increasingly popular idea of a universal basic income in a world of deep economic insecurity. They set out how the human rights community has responded thus far to these profound economic challenges, and explore what the proponents of human rights and universal basic income can learn from each other. Opening remarks by: S.E.
